Pay with any token you hold
A customer will be able to pay with any token they already hold. Uniswap swaps it to digital dollars on the way in, so the business always receives USDC. It is not switched on at checkout yet.

Imagine a customer who wants to pay you but holds a different coin from the one you take. Today that is a problem: they would have to swap it for USDC first, in another app, before they can pay. We have built a way to remove that step. The customer pays with the coin they already hold, and it is swapped to digital dollars on the way in. You always receive USDC.
A plain note on timing: this is coming to checkout. We have built it, but it is not switched on yet, so you cannot use it today. We are saying so now so you know what to expect, and we will update this page when it is live.
What the customer sees
Picture a customer on your payment page. The price is set in dollars. They connect their wallet, and instead of only being offered USDC, they can choose from the coins they actually hold. They pick one, see the amount, and approve. The page does the swap and the payment together, so there is no detour to another app.
What you receive
The point of the design is that your side stays simple. Whatever the customer pays with, you receive USDC, a digital dollar meant to always be worth one US dollar. You do not end up holding a coin you did not choose, and you do not have to guess what it is worth. Your fee is worked out on the dollar amount of the sale, as it is for any other payment.
How the swap works, in plain words
A swap means trading one coin for another at the going rate. The customer's coin is swapped for USDC by Uniswap, an open exchange, and the USDC then goes through the usual payment: your share to you, our small fee to us. We never hold the money in between. The whole thing happens as one payment, so it either completes or it does not happen at all.
What it costs the customer
Swaps are not free, and we would rather say it up front. The exchange that does the swap charges its own small fee, and the rate can move a little while the customer is deciding. So a customer who pays with another coin can end up paying slightly more than a customer who pays with USDC directly. It is the price of convenience, and the customer sees the amount before they approve.
Why it matters for a small business
- More customers can pay. Anyone with a wallet and a common coin can pay, not just people who hold USDC.
- Fewer abandoned payments. A customer who has to leave your page to swap coins may not come back.
- No new work for you. You keep the same link, the same fee and the same kind of payment arriving.
What will not change
The safety rules stay the same. We do not hold your money, and every payment is on the public record that anyone can look up. Read how that works in is my money safe, or look at the public record yourself. Price checks still apply: a payment is refused if its price source is not fresh, as we describe in get paid in euros, pounds, pesos and more.
What to do now
Nothing, really. A payment link works today for customers who hold USDC, and the coins for other currencies already work on the networks listed in where Access0x1 is live. Read get paid in digital dollars with one link to see how to start. When paying with any coin is switched on, your existing links will gain the option without you doing anything.
